Naminoue daze - 2008/03/12 14:51 Hey now, are there any Army vets who frequented
Naminoue in 1967 > 1968? Clubs like the Queenbee & the Kokusai Club, VO Club, the Kentucky? Perhaps anyone who studied Karate under Sensai Shugoro Nakazato in that same time period?
I'd love to have you contact me about those long ago daze.

A side note to Richiesan...Good luck in your quest, but don't be surprized at a VERY negative reaction if she was a bar girl. Many of them were forced eventually into prostitution by organized crime (the Yakuza) who ran the bar scene there. Some years ago, I posted in "lost in Okinawa" on another web site and got a very angry reply from her present husband (I knew her last name)
boy, was that(and I)screwed up! No doubt he will be aware of this post-soon enough. Some people see angels, some demons....oh well. (hijack!)
In any case, good luck! toshi

I was stationed in the Army at the 2nd Log Command (Machinato service area) 585th MaintCo, a few miles north of Naha on the west coast, from 3/67 to 10/67. To include 3 TDY trips with USARPAC Calibration Teams.

Re:Naminoue daze - 2008/03/14 13:11 Club Again and Kokusai Club. First strip dancers I saw in Naminoue. I was there in USAF from Dec 1960 - July 1962.

Remember the muddy streets? :) Just loved that place!
