 long stay - 2007/07/02 06:35 hello out there, anyone can answer this: why is it so difficult for me to retire on okinawa. i have a pension fron the u.s. post office,been on island many times,and have okinawa friends that will vouch for my good intentions.why can't i stay longer than 90 days and not have to be a desireable commodity to the community,ie.teacher, computer wiz,etc.. can't i just grow old and enjoy the island and be with my friends?

retired from u.s. post office 9/30/2006
would like to spen some serious time (settle down) on oki as a retiree but don't have the background that immmigration demands.
any help is appreciated
