Looking for Army buddy, McCallum - 2008/03/29 14:43 Name of person you wish to locate:
Jim(?) McCallum (last name may be mispelled)
We all called him "Mac"

Relationship: An Army friend -Rank-SP/5

Time Frame in which you were acquainted:
3/67 to 10/68

Location:
2nd Log Command-Machinato Service Area-
Repair shop, Bldg 617

Your Name: see my profile below

Your E-mail: see my profile below

Additional Comments: He was tall, dark hair & came
from Spokane, Washington.
He turned me on to the Okinawan language & culture
and steered my sorry ass away from the GI Bar districts
where I wasted too much time. (sorry, Mrs C)
I went on 2 USARPAC Calibration Teams to Vietnam
with him.
I called him in 1972, but since then lost his phone number
in that blur of time (darn!)

Who knows? Maybe he or a friend of his will
read this someday if he's still alive

I was stationed in the Army at the 2nd Log Command (Machinato service area) 585th MaintCo, a few miles north of Naha on the west coast, from 3/67 to 10/67. To include 3 TDY trips with USARPAC Calibration Teams.
