 trip to okinawa in august - 2007/04/16 07:53 hello you all,

i'm planing to travel to okinawa with my girlfriend in the beginning of august.
i never went to okinawa before so i don't know if this is a good date. i heard before that in the end of august the taifuns will come. should i be worried if i'll go in the beginning???

can someone recommen a nice place in okinawa to me.
i'm searching for a calm and not so crowded place with a nice beach.
i think that everyone is searching for something like this ;), but perhaps someone knows such a place.
i would be very glad if so ;).

A nice place to stay is the Okinawa Grand Castle a little costly but worth every yen. The calm not crowded beach is a little hard to find alt the end of August. It is HOT and everyone is looking for beaches. The Typhoons are nothing to worry about as long as you stay in doors.

 Re:trip to okinawa in august - 2007/06/03 22:12 I like Yambaru. Nakajin has some really nice beaches. Kouri Island, now connected to Yagaji by a bridge has the one armed harmonica player. Minna and Ie Islands are a short ferry ride from Motubu port. About a 2 hr ferry ride from Unten lie Izena and Iheya Islands, both really beautiful places. In the south, I really like Kudaka Island, reachable by ferry from Chinen.
